The everyday screen with its eight task paddles and the Call Carer button. Illustration.
  • Name (small, top): the device name. It follows the resident’s name unless you set your own.
  • The time, in the style you choose: written (“Quarter Past Eleven”), 12-hour (“11:18 AM”) or 24-hour (“14:00”). In written style a line such as “in the Morning” is added.
  • The date: full (“Sunday, 17 May”), short (“Sun, 17 May”) or numeric (“17/05/26”).
  • Temperature and humidity, for example “21 C” and “45%”. You can turn either off, and choose °C or °F. A dash means the sensor has no reading yet.
  • Today: up to two events from your calendar, or No events. A weekly “Refill dosette box” reminder can also appear here on the day you choose.
  • A news line (optional), shown as “Label: headline”, wrapped into whatever space is left.
  • Today’s Tasks: up to eight rows, in the order of the buttons. Each shows the task name and, at the right, its reminder time.
  • A ticked task has a line through its name and time.
  • At the bottom: “2 / 8 tasks done” (done out of switched-on tasks).

Long task names are trimmed to fit, so keep names short. Icons chosen in the portal are for your own list, and do not appear on the e-paper screen.

E-paper only uses power when the picture changes.

  • The clock changes once a minute (only the left column is redrawn).
  • A task row redraws when you press its button, or when it is changed from the portal.
  • A full refresh (a black-and-white flash that clears faint ghost images) happens at start-up, at the daily reset (default 07:00, when all ticks are cleared) and otherwise about once a day.
  • Messages, Call Carer and temperature warnings cover the screen for a while, then the everyday screen comes back.

A short flash while it updates is normal. See Troubleshooting for ghosting.
